Deadline Approaching - Second Annual NELA Trainee Poster Prize at the AAGBI
The Project Team are pleased to announce that for the second consecutive year we will be sponsoring a Trainee poster prize at the upcoming Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (AAGBI) Winter Scientific Meeting taking place from 11-13 January 2017. This is for the best poster that uses local hospital NELA data to bring about an improvement in the quality of care.
The members of the Project Team were very impressed by the posters submitted during the 2016 poster prize and we were thrilled to see NELA data being used on a local level to drive Quality Improvement. As a result we are extremely excited to view this year's submissions and see how NELA participants continue to put the patient data to good use.
The criteria for a successful poster will be judged on whether it:
•Demonstrates use of local NELA data
•Uses established quality improvement (QI) methodology
•Has multidisciplinary involvement (ideally)
•Demonstrates an improvement in care, which could be improvements in process or outcome
All accepted abstracts in the above categories will be published in the journal Anaesthesia in the form of a fully referenceable online supplement.
